a friend of mine is having problems with the installation of Hidden & Dangerous 2 Sabre Squadron someone help?

at least the installation worked with me but he did not

Error Translation

was not possible to install the file 'saber squadron readme.htm' because it was not possible to locate the file in the CAB 'Data2.cab File this may indicate a network error indicates a network error a read error starting the CD-ROM or a problem in this package

Hi

I had a similar weird problem 3 weeks ago when I reinstalled windows. H&D2 game me
this kind of error when inserting a new disk via Deamon tools. I don't remember if it was
Original or Sabre. I reinstalled the game and it worked! You can also remount or reinsert
the new cd you are installing. I see this error happend with the Sabre CD2. Same happend
to me, but reinstalling or remounting worked. I hope this helps.

If it doesn't work, try to download the game from our website again and do a fresh installation.

Is it installed from CD or mounted image file ?
If its from CD and on every attempt, the error is always the same, it could be problem with CD itself, its dusty or scratched.

But look at the bright side, the error did show at 54% not 99% :)
The one who hesitates is lost !

My brother had the same problem and he didn't solve it (to be honest he throwed in the sponge too early lol). However, you can try to do what Snow says, and in case - after you uninstall the game and before to reinstall it - you can try to use CCleaner :gj:
