Hello lads,
well, step by step i'm about to achieve the building of my new computer. Now the question is: What about the operating system?
Of course, i'm looking for a 64 bits O.S. What do you mean? Should i choose Windows 8 or Windows 7 or Windows XP64 bits? I'm ok for buying a second hand O.S, on Ebay or something, but i don't know anything about 64 bits O.S
Which one works the best?
All advices and opinions are welcome.

I am not using it yet, but I think best OS is windows 7.
Horrible stories so far about windows 8.
Physical limitations of RAM (as far as I know):
XP (64bit): 16 GB
win7 (64bit): 2-192 GB (depends on version)
win8 (64bit): 128/512 GB (depends on version)
regarding the use of multi-cpu, it is a similar issue...

Yup Morty, also my daughter told me about problems on Windows 8
Considering the amount of RAM, well, maybe 16 GB is enough ? No ?

My new PC has only 3gb ram with win7 32 bit. Works fine.

XP is a bad choice since support for it will stop in april 2014.
I would choose win 7 64 bits. I have used it for 4 years now and am very happy with it!
It is stable and I never felt the need to do a clean install like with XP when I did a clean install every year!
