About Ban without reason

Ok, Marcelo, i think i got some informations for you.


Yesterday, you were playing on Justice server, using the =RpR= tag as =RpR=Marcelo.

This is not allowed, dude. The =RpR= tag may be used only by =RpR= clan members.

You're not a =RpR= clan member, Marcelo, you're a =RpR= registered user (just as i am, indeed). Registering on =RpR= website doesn't allow you to use the =RpR= tag ongame.

As far as i know, it's the reason why you get banned. I suggest you to talk to Snowman about that. In your case, Snowman is the person who can leave your ban, after hearing your explanations.


EDIT : Here is the list of the players who are =RpR= clan members. Only these players may use the =RpR= tag. The others, even if registered on =RpR= website, may not use it.

? the tag =RpR= is not registered trade mark or something like that.so in the eyes of the law, anyone can use it...
This must be put to the server info messages. and forum for anyone to see, so its more clear.
Now player is banne for something he didnt know.
And who banned him? Could he warn the player before ? Its very shity to just ban without warning and explayning...

In that case the fault was by RpR not by the player !

Not really anyones fault. If Marcelo used the tag if he thought it
was necessary for him to play on our servers, no problem. Sometimes
people use the tags with bad intentions, like the player named
snowball. I asked him why he uses the tag and he started insulting
RpR. Then I banned him and he started insulting everyone in the
chat.

I take this precaution when I see someone using RpR tags and he/she
is not an RpR member. If they want to correct their mistake, no problem,
ban is lifted. When I go talk to someone about it, they don't even
speak english. In this case I try to force a bit of interest from
them to help clear the problem.

I don't agree that anyone is allowed to do anything they want. RpR isn't
a clan like any other clans. If you want to wear out tag and can prove
you deserve it, then join us.

well... snowball likes to use many different names..Here are some:

Grimrock,Stefano,Murdek,Jemm,Gorah,Timmy,Kip,Bandit,Frank,Keen,Eagle,Grog,Colombo,Pirate,Rude...

C'mon Stern, =RpR= is maybe the last H&D2 living website and the last H&D2 clan but at the times there were many of them, they all used the same way to work with their own tag. This is a usual practice in every gaming clan/website.

I really believe that Marcelo did it as a mistake, because he's new on the website and because it's a classic mistake. I made the same at my beginnings at GS and i got the same answer.

If we start to speak about what is registered trade mark or something, we can also start to remove all the sounds, videos and pictures on =RpR= website that are patented and/or copyright. Will we ?

I agree with you on the point that it's a good idea to specify it, maybe in the Rules topic or Members topic.

Also, thank you for the "bad work". I hope you will be as quick to say "good work" when the opportunity arises ...

Incidentally, i wonder what would happen if the admins went on strike, just to see, and let the players sort it out when they have a problem.

We receive a lot of criticism when we are admin, but we are glad to find them when it comes to "restart this", "fix that", "ban this one", "add this map", "help for download that" and others...

We are not machines, guys, and we do our best for free...
