I am going to guess it was an oversight.

You see, I kind of cheated to get there (as you can tell by my paratrooper getup and radio in Single Player) so there was absolutely no shooting until that point. If I were to guess, I would say that they are scripted to go out there when they hear the alarm, but they are only scripted to stop what they are doing when they hear shots fired. That way, when I walked in there in my German uniform and pressed the alarm before I shot at them they got confused and just levitated to the door.

maybe badly working prototype or they were just testing it, because after while the gravity was back and bodys has fell on the floor.
