Sometimes I play singleplayer HD2 and I do wish certain mechanics were available in Multiplayer.
The uniform system, for instance, does add another level of depth to a mission. I've recently been trying my darndest to get enemy uniforms for all 4 of my teammates each mission. Of course it is easier in the early missions...
But when you get down to the nitty-gritty of it, the intricacies of making an enemy surrender for the purposes of taking a uniform are really fascinating, and add a whole other level of strategy to the game.
For instance, each enemy soldier has a hidden 'morale' value, which determines how likely they are to surrender. This value is lowered by reasonable things, like bullets landing near their feet, seeing grenades being thrown, and most importantly: the sight of their dead comrades.
The practical takeaway of this information: that it is a completely reasonable strategy in the battlefield to make effigies of dead enemy soldiers, and use this to scare them into surrendering so that you may take their pants.
What a wonderful game
