Well, something a bit different this time...



May 11, 2002


2002 was an exceptional year for the FC Lorient. This year, the club was a finalist in both domestic cups: The French Cup and the League Cup. After losing 0-3 in April against the Girondins de Bordeaux in the final of the League Cup, Lorient got on May 11, 2002 his first trophy by winning the French Cup 1-0 against the SC Bastia.

The story might have ended there, but look more and you'll see that, with Lorient, you have to expect everything, sometimes the worst, sometimes the best... ;)

Thank you for this post, Juanma. Personally, i didn't know this man and his story for his refusal to perform the nazi salute (with a lowercase letter, again, i already have explained myself about this specific point).
