Ohh Morty, really sorry for that, i didn't noticed your suggestion, maybe i also need a spyglass...
And i'm glad to say that the winner (at least) for this riddle is... Morty !!!!
This bloody piece of steel is a tool used by turners. This is a tool called thread gauge, also called here "sardina tail", by analogy with its shape. This tool is used to position and align the threading tool on the lathe. There are different kinds, depending on the thread profile to achieve.
This model is a classic, used for thread profiles ISO 60 °, by far the most common.
Of course, i speak about classic lathes, without digital control and the best to learn the skill and style... And in addition, if the leathe is a Cazeneuve , you got all what is needed to produce a good work...
Well done Morty !

I win, so we all agree, that it was Robin Hood's arrow right?
Okay okay... let's get back to serious business now
What is this?
1 - wooden plug
2 - sound post
3 - wooden column
4 - guitar peg
5 - another arrow from Robin Hood
6 - wooden spacer
