I remember when my daughter was maybe 14 old, one night i made her discovering this movie by Alan Parker. At a moment, i left the room for a coffee or something and, when i was back, it was this scene where Irene Cara performs this song. I found my daughter sitting just in front of the screen, breathless. I waited for the end of the scene and i said : "So what ?". And she just replied : "How she sings well."

Well, i guess there was nothing else to say...
