Cool one, Ted Striker. I like Gabin, here's maybe my favourite, La maison

Also, here's what i'm listening presently. It's one i like to play in the morning with my Coffee&Fag at the window, with the sparrows which wait casually, perched in plane trees, that i leave so that they can come to peck at the bread which i left them...
In fact, it's not exactly the same version because mine is the version by the Concentus Musicus Wien, conducted by Nicolas Harnoncourt. Indeed, as usual with classic music, the conductor got a critical role ( i remember a criticism where the author, speaking about the performance of the "great" von Karajan, says: " Karajan conducts this evening with an ax "), and Nicolas Harnoncourt is a great specialist of Haydn, but i think this one is not so bad...

Doubtless my favourite by Téléphone , this major band of the French stage during 1976-1986.
In addition, a nice and simple way to train your French language. Good job, Mister Skullcrossbones

Cendrillon ( Cinderella )
Cinderella, for her twenty years
Is the prettiest child
Her beautiful lover, Prince Charming
Takes her on his white horse
She forgets the time
In this silver palace
For not to see that a new day rises
She closes her eyes and in her dreams
She leaves, pretty little story
She leaves, pretty little story
Cinderella, for her thirty years
Is the saddest mom
Prince Charming has ruined the camp
With the Sleeping Beauty
She saw hundred white horses
Away from her taking her children
She begins to drink
To hang around in the bars
Wrapped in her blues
Now she works the streets
She leaves, pretty little story
She leaves, pretty little story
Ten years of this life were enough
To turn her as a junkie
And in an endless sleep
Cinderella sees his life ending
The lights dance
In the ambulance
But she kills her last chance
All of this doesn't matter anymore
She leaves, end of the story
Our father who are so old
Did you really made your best
For on earth and in heaven
Your angels don't like getting old

Another major title by Téléphone, and a nice kind of night ride on the Paris elevated railway...
Téléphone - Un autre monde (Another world)
1984... Good old times... In 1984, i just entered the French army... Dance, the shadows of the world...

  Enjoy listen

What does it take to believe
Break down these walls
Be free
Let go of preconceptions
Of who we are
Connect to everything
And be everything
What does it take
to be the dream
To know you are
The power within
Let go of preconceptions
Of who we are
Connect to everything
And be everything
There's only one heart
And this is it
Believe me when I say
You matter
You can make a difference
Tell a different story
One heart can change my world

Dogs - 2011 Remaster
Album: Animals (1977)
Lyrics:
You gotta be crazy, you gotta have a real need.
You gotta sleep on your toes, and when you're on the street,
You gotta be able to pick out the easy meat with your eyes closed.
And then moving in silently, down wind and out of sight,
You gotta strike when the moment is right without thinking.
And after a while, you can work on points for style.
Like the club tie, and the firm handshake,
A certain look in the eye and an easy smile.
You have to be trusted by the people that you lie to,
So that when they turn their backs on you,
You'll get the chance to put the knife in.
You gotta keep one eye looking over your shoulder.
You know it's going to get harder, and harder, and harder as you
get older.
And in the end you'll pack up and fly down south,
Hide your head in the sand,
Just another sad old man,
All alone and dying of cancer.
And when you loose control, you'll reap the harvest you have sown.
And as the fear grows, the bad blood slows and turns to stone.
And it's too late to lose the weight you used to need to throw
around.
So have a good drown, as you go down, all alone,
Dragged down by the stone.
I gotta admit that I'm a little bit confused.
Sometimes it seems to me as if I'm just being used.
Gotta stay awake, gotta try and shake off this creeping malaise.
If I don't stand my own ground, how can I find my way out of this
maze?
Deaf, dumb, and blind, you just keep on pretending
That everyone's expendable and no-one has a real friend.
And it seems to you the thing to do would be to isolate the winner
And everything's done under the sun,
And you believe at heart, everyone's a killer.
Who was born in a house full of pain.
Who was trained not to spit in the fan.
Who was told what to do by the man.
Who was broken by trained personnel.
Who was fitted with collar and chain.
Who was given a pat on the back.
Who was breaking away from the pack.
Who was only a stranger at home.
Who was ground down in the end.
Who was found dead on the phone.
Who was dragged down by the stone.

Trust is hard to gain but easy to lose.
