(October 10, 1959 - February 2, 1993)

Today Hunedoara remembers its Gladiator. He passed away at the age of 33, having a heart attack while training at his football club in Germany. He played as a left back for the Romanian national team scoring 5 goals in 90 matches. He scored 37 goals in 313 matches for Corvinul Hunedoara in the 10 years he spent here, being his first professional football team. Nicknamed "The gladiator with 7 hearts" for his dedication on the pitch, our stadium is named after him, a born legend and a hero for our city.



His daughter remembers him and she's also holding the camera which recorded only video memories of her and her father
