This is a video I made on how to host on Hidden & Dangerous 2 it should contain most if not all the information needed to be able to host a server and connect to it, there are a few ways in which you can get your friend to connect through Nomandown Server list, or giving them your "External IP" to find out your external IP just open up your internet Browser and type in the search box "My IP" always works for me and is probably one of the quickest ways to find it out.

Once you have setup and tested that the server works you can Add the server to nomandown server list and have friends join youm all they will need to do is download the App and install it and click on your server and they will automatically join.

Other things to Note:-

If you notice that servers are greyed out the game needs to be patched to 1.12.

Most servers run the Add-on or Expansion "Sabre Squadron" that contains the co-op mode and many more maps.

About recent problems with hosting servers on Windows XP:

What you can try, in case you only forwarded specific ports and you did not try DMZ:

Get following tool: http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/cports.html
(Scroll down for download link)

Start ServerLauncher.exe and create an Internet server with port e.g. 11001

Start CurrPorts and then forward all port which are used by HD2.


Now restart the server and see if it works.

That way i was at least able to add the server on nomandown.com/hd2/servers/

If you create a dedicated server and want to join it on the same machine you need to connect with your local address (e.g. 192.168.178.23:11001)
