The system is pretty flexible and only depends on the player how he wants to
play the mission.

1. Yes, you can choose anything from inventory
2. Officer helps you with whatever you ask, but not placing explosives or using radios etc
3. Officer can also heal you if you have a bad healing character
4. Ranking officer do as player says. Usually follows at distance
5. Finish the mission with all objectives completed. Not time dependent or anything.

I also never asked anyone to bring stuff. I remember asking Bill for a Silent Sten on Brest
because it was a long mission and De Leslie had problems in close quarters.
