Recently been playing Driver 2 - I got it at a garage sale when I was a kid and played the heck out of it (even though I was never able to get very far in the main missions at all, I just played around in Free Ride mode)
There is an open-source PC port of it nowadays called ReDriver2 , which you can play if you have access to the original ROMs. Apart from upping the screen resolution and fixing a few bugs, it is very faithful to the original PS1 version I remember

You just reminded me of Pingus , a Lemmings clone that's been around forever (1998).
Checking their GitHub repo I found out there's another clone called Lix , which is still being developed and maintained (I haven't tried it yet).
