If NL is the same picture, but the picture below do not find the application,,,,, only with 1024x768 resolution, the game is full screen but a little stretched across the width of the screen,, and out game screen looks very elongated and distorted

That is correct Juan.
HD2 DOES NOT SUPPORT real widescreen (it is too old).
So you play it looking stretched or in the classic configuration and have 2 black stripes on both sides.
Your laptop will not be able to give you a higher resolution than 1024x768.
So problem solved.

Well it seems I was not 100% right.
I connected a different 16:9 (1920x1080) monitor and I did get the 1600x1200 option in HD2 setup.
It probably depends on the resolutions your monitor supports.
If I use it the game gets stretched and I cannot get it back to normal with scaling to 4:3 in 1600x1200 resolution.
I don't really understand because 1600x1200 is a 4:3 resolution so aspect ratio scaling should work.
