It can either fix itself like it happened to Patrick 
or it's a resolution
problem in case full screen mode doesn't work. Can you also post

For the white band (rather blue sky for me) I couldn't remove it. The band on the top is approximately 0,8 cms .The bottom icons are cut, I'm in 1920X1080 résolution on a screen of 24 inches. I made a photo to show you.
