I have a report from John saying that Normandy 2 Frontline crashes when the first tank leaves its original position. I just tested and everything works fine. In 2024 Ted provided us with a script fix and maybe that's the reason. This fix has been included in the CMP 2.4.8, but if you want to reinstall it separately you can do it from this link:
