Okay thanks :-) . He did everything like you. Now he can see his health, name etc.. but it is running in half screen mode only.

If he has a nvidia card you should probably also experiment with scaling in the nvidia control panel.
Trust is hard to gain but easy to lose.

For information my screen is 24 inches and the resolution is 1920X1080, I focus more on the quality of graphics than my life expectancy !!!
