How to open .x model format extension? was created by p.jakub88
Hello everyone,

following my topic regarding the origins of the opel_zima.i3d model from Bertgold mod (which was imported from Mortyr 2) i came across the original Opel Blitz truck Winter model in Mortyr 2 game files.

The question is: which 3d modelling software i need to open the .x model format?

Yes. https://www.igcd.net/vehicles.php?make=Opel&model=Blitz

Anyway, meantime i managed to import the Mortyr 2 Opel Blitz model into Lightray3D 1.4 version.

Have you made any modifications for HD2 ?
I just think maybe someday you can turn your attention to HD2 :undecided:
Its much wider scene, and you dont have to start from zero (you have done much work on HD, basic is the same).
Maybe you have some new ideas...

Some helping tools exist and some are in progress.

No, i didn't make any mods for H&D 2 yet.

However, making mods for H&D 2 is harder than for H&D Deluxe and we don't have proper modding tools for it yet (like HDD Editor).

I know nothing about HEX editing and stuff like that.

Anyway, you could use custom models from my H&D Deluxe Ultimate Mod: https://www.moddb.com/mods/hd-deluxe-ultimate-mod

I imported vehicles and guns models from such games like Call of Duty and Medal of Honor. Converting them from i3d format to 4ds format should be possible using 3ds max with proper plugins.
