Got my hand on the stamp collection of my grandfather today. Trying to get some idea of its potential worth.
I estimate at the moment the collection consists of:
-circa 13.000 stamps
-dating between 1900-1950
-spanning many countries and continents
-most are used (:( )
-big collection of German stamps during the depression in the '30's (3 billion nomination stamps!) and Hitler period.

Trying to get some idea of the total worth, so far it seems 500-650 euros is a minimum estimate (for selling - not resale) but I feel the collection may be worth more. Going to do more investigation using: http://www.stampworld.com/en/maps/Europe/?

This kind of shit happens all over the world, sometimes even on the safest road of all: the German autobahn, just a few moments before you come across there…

Went to a local fish harbor (IJmuiden, The Netherlands) to get some fish this late afternoon.
Eating the fish in my car overlooking part of the harbor I get visited by a cheeky seagull who obviously knows what I am eating and wants his "fair share".
In the end he gets some, yeah I know, this is why they display this behavior in the first place...shouldn't feed them really. They are a nuisance but also a protected species. And well, seeing one so close is kinda cool.
