I am upgrading my laptop to windows 10 in preparation of upgrading my regular pc. But first making sure I have bootable media for a clean install because I don't want an upgraded windows 7 but true clean install, for both 32 bit and 64 bit versions. We have until june 29 to do a free upgrade, after that you will have to pay.
But DVD's are too small (need at least 6GB) so you need a USB Flash drive.
You need a tool for this and make sure you follow the right procedure or at least have your windows product key.

If you don't know your product key you can download a program to see it, just be aware that for me it installed AVG pc optimization and anti-virus, which I immediately uninstalled:

You can buy a 8.5 gb dvd. I never used it for bootable media. I now have
a dvd with Win 7 and another one with XP(both on 4.7 Gb).

I just found out that if I do only one version at a time (so either 32 bit or 64 bit) the images are 3.4 GB - doh!

You're upgrading to Windows 10? Damn mate i am gonna pray for your PC to not broke.
My friends upgraded to Windows 10 now they can't play and do sh** on their PCs...
But that is your choice, maybe you'll be lucky and Windows won't fu** up your PC.

Yes it is possible but in the end I will have to upgrade to 10 anyway...
Worst case scenario for now is that if I am not happy I will simply go back to W7 until 2020
This I why I am first testing on my laptop, to get a feel for the OS, see how HD2 and some other stuff is working and if I can live with it or not.
