The company Tecknisolar, based in Saint-Malo, Brittany, presented at Minipol 2015 a new product called thermal absorber. This is about a tissue made with vegetal resins and which can dramatically decrease the thermal signature of the user and so avoid detection by thermal and infrared cameras. In addition, this product has also good skills for protecting from bacteriological contamination. This product has been already tested and approved by the men of the 13th RDP, an elite unit of the French special forces i've already spoke about in my post here .

The question now is : Who will be able / allowed to get it ...?

Yesterday I watched the R.A.I.D. Police officer "Capitaine F:" interview. Just one day after the Saint-Denis blitz, he was training again. Iced eyes. Calm and strong voice. Great man. Great guys.

Well, i guess each country has its own elite unit of police forces. The question is : What is the political will about them and in which purpose they're engaged in action.

EDIT : Of course, after the recent events in Paris, doubtless it was spoken about the RAID in several foreign TVs or something.

What is important to know about the RAID is that it depends directly on the General Direction of National Police (DGPN). This unit often intervenes in last ressort and has no judicial power of following its actions, as a difference with other French police elite units as the BRI, Brigade de Recherche et d'Intervention (also nicknamed "antigang") , which depends on the Judicial Police and which was also involved in the recent events in Paris.
